A Double Edged Sword

These are the cuts of a double edged sword.

Mark 1:1-8

To the favorable…

I love the baptism of repentance!

Immersion into the persistent Spirit of God calling me to fall in with, after and behind Him in my heart.

To ponder, consider and heed His thoughts of life.

Receiving A Heart “after” God.

How precious also are Your thoughts [purpose, aim] to me, O God!

How vast is the sum of them! PS 139:17

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor. 5:19

The baptism of repentance “into” His forgiveness.

The baptism of repentance for the Kingdom at hand.

I worship You Lord for Your continual draw to my heart.

For Your persistence in invitation,

the knock that shows me when I’ve closed the door.

Your inescapable Voice that immerses me in repentance and into your forgiveness.

…and to the unfavorable.

I’m sick of this existence labeled as life.

Sick of the lies and liars and those who manipulate for selfish gain.

Sick of the lukewarm.

Sick of the silent and complacent.

The posers with knowledge, but a heart so distant from God.

The moderators and equivocators of death carried in empty words.

The avoidance of the soul for trivial experience and it’s bluster.

The exaltation of firefighters in the face of the All Consuming Fire.

Despising Laodicea and the deluding influence,

because they did not receive the love of the TRUTH so as to be saved.

Despising that which distracts and steals an ear to hear.

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ Rev 3:19-22
