The Glory Of His Intercession

12-4-19

It must be understood, knowledge about God is insufficient and imperfect for His desire for us to follow with, after and behind His voice speaking right now.

The Father grabbed my attention nearly 4 years ago with this question, “What am I doing right now?”  With that question, I became yoked to the voice of His Spirit in a way I had never known before and my heart was changed in an instant because it was a question I could not answer. And to this day, I still can’t answer it. The question and His ensuing revelation sent me barreling down the road watching and listening, pondering and considering His voice, hitched like a stage coach, to a team of horses, spooked by a snake. And now that the rush is over and the dust had settled, I can see He has led me to a whole new town and given me a new address. Captivated by the indwelling beauty, the team unhitched and roaming free, we are now resting and drinking from the streams of living water. Satiated in The Glory Of His Intercession.

For 3 plus years His question drew me down that new road of revelation with power and authority. Hooves pounding the soil in my heart and driving me forward with relentless abandon in pursuit of the One Voice and His observations and judgments of things. He supplied me with many new words to describe things seen and observed along the way. Removing quite a few man made obstructions and misleading road signs, He blazed a new trail to this previously unknown town and gave me a new designation and purpose for my residence there.

I have moved. I have settled in the word of His power and I will never be returning to the shell of existence He drove me from. Through the 10 literary pieces of The Journey and a few subsequent writings, the Lord has laid out a road map and forwarding address to the door of His dwelling.

As I’ve followed with, after and behind His voice, the voice of His intercession, I have received the touch of His understanding and He has led me to ponder, consider and heed the words He speaks, before any other words or voices heard. His voice to my heart is The Glory Of His Intercession, yearning in great desire for my embrace of what He says. James 4:5  As I have settled in, He has walked me through His beautiful rooms and magnified the treasure of His voice in them.

In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.” John 14:2-4

Never have I been so fulfilled in Him while simultaneously dredging the depths of human solitude in the wilderness that surrounds, breathing The Glory Of His Intercession.

Because of the way the Western “Good News” is delivered and massaged, believers rarely stop to think about what God is doing, right now. His vital, Hebrews 4:12 living and active word for this moment. I hear little encouragement to stop and listen for the interceding voice of the Holy Spirit, Romans 8:26-27 or the One who is seated at the right hand of the power of God, Jesus the interceding shepherd, Hebrews 7:25. Is it any wonder we see little demonstration of His power to save the lost?

For those with ears to hear, the unified words of life They speak are recognized as the motivation, power, strength and ability to do the will of God. The same voice that spoke to Adam in the garden, spoke to the great men of faith in Hebrews 11. And led Jesus Christ into the wilderness to be tempted of satan, to crucifixion and resurrection from the dead!

That Voice, His Voice, is speaking right now. Expressing the exact nature of his opinion, judgment and view, upholding all things by the word of His power, Hebrews 1:3. They speak together, they dwell in unity and agreement, continually offering the “glory” or “doxa” of God to whosoever. They express and reveal the will of God through intercession.

The Father is yearning for those on earth who will listen for His voice and be in agreement with that word spoken in heaven. Matt 6:9-10 If this isn’t a Ponder Stop, there has never been one.

After The Journey was detailed in writing, I was led to pen GLORY? TO GOD: Let’s see…. If you’ll take a look or listen, it’s plain to see in some instances “glory” has been poorly translated from the Greek word “doxa” and because of that, we have been placed at a disadvantage in our hearts and minds as we read the word “glory”. He’s led me to see the translation completely missed the central point and purpose of the Father’s creation and intervention into this existence. It began and will end with, listen for My voice!

There are 4 sub definitions for Strongs g1391 “doxa” and the first two definitions are… never… used… at ALL! This was one of the major road blocks, and misleading road signs the Spirit has exposed to me along that new road. It’s also why He placed those pounding hooves under me to drive me through and away from the way it’s universally translated. I’ve come believe the bent on translation is born of the voice of the serpent stranger.

A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” John 10:5

“Doxa” as defined or translated as “glory” is an interference and misdirection to the purpose of His Intercession, because it does not acknowledge or magnify the paramount necessity of His Intercession. The “doxa” of God being spoken to our hearts right now!

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

The Holy Spirit exposed me to the translation of the Greek word “doxa” in the Bible.  It is defined glory (145x), glorious (10x), honor (6x), praise (4x), dignity (2x), worship (1x).  All those words are born of the flavor, and feeling of definitions 3 and 4 and still the word “glory” is not part of the definition. And again, nowhere in the Bible is the word “doxa” translated from either of the first two definitions; The first being: [opinion, judgement or view]. Why bother putting ‘em on the list at all?  And at the top!

This is where His training to listen for His voice leaps out and says, “Hey!? Pay attention! I am revealing something to you, right here!”

Definitions 1 and 2 are completely ignored for all translations of “doxa” and that’s a huge problem that feels like deception to my spirit. And here’s the real kicker! Glory wasn’t used as a term in the english lexicon until the 14th century. That means Jesus couldn’t have been using the same term as defined in the passages of scripture where He is speaking and glory is used!

GINORMOUS PONDER STOP RIGHT HERE!!!

It’s impossible that the word “glory” is what Jesus Christ was saying. A word first used in the 14th century, 13 hundred years after His ministry of the Word of the Father, the Word of life, designed to save us!

As inferred earlier, one of the biggest man made or dare I say serpent inspired obstructions and misleading road signs is the translation of the word “doxa” as glory. It’s a close second behind repentance, “metanoeo” which is also shrouded in a serpent inspired misdirection in both it’s connotative and denotative translations [see:What Am I Doing Right Now? and What Am I Doing Right Now? II].

Consider this. We don’t really understand the majesty, splendor or magnificence of our creator God or His glorious condition and most exalted state. It’s beyond our understanding. Romans 3:11 says, There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God.

We have a finite imagination of our omnipotent and omnipresent God who lives in unapproachable light. We can’t comprehend, nor can our minds fully embrace or grasp the magnitude of His presence and power. So when the word glory with it’s ascribed definitions of majesty, splendor or magnificence is used, we tend to glaze over. We miss the point because we’re down here and we can’t fully grasp His splendor or magnificence. I find it ironic, that a word ascribed to Jesus, the savior of the world who desires we understand our Father in heaven would carry a definition that mankind can’t really comprehend on earth. Let us ponder the lunacy together.

With confidence, I know Jesus knew that and that’s why the universal translation of “doxa” as “glory” is misleading. It’s not the fullness of what He was saying then, nor is it what He is saying right now. As the writer of Hebrews says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Chapter 13, verse 8.

Through His intercession, waking me up one morning with the word “glory” on my heart. He led me to all the uses of the word glory and opened up my understanding to the incomplete and misdirected translation. Following His intercession, He hit the bullseye and exposed the serpents subtle misdirection, just like in the garden. Here are just two examples in the words of Jesus.

I have given them the[doxa] glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.

What He’s really saying is,

I have given them the [doxa] opinion, judgment or view that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one —JOHN 17:22

See it?

Or when He says:

“I do not accept [doxa] glory from human beings, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe since you accept the [doxa] glory from one another but do not seek the [doxa] glory that comes from the only God?

What He’s really saying is,

“I do not accept [doxa] opinion, judgment or view from human beings, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe since you accept the [doxa] opinion, judgment or view from one another but do not seek the [doxa] opinion, judgment or view that comes from the only God?JOHN 5:41-44

Changes things a bit, doesn’t it? In fact, “it” changes everything about the ubiquitous insertion of the word glory for doxa!

So please forgive me for the title of this piece, The Glory Of His Intercession. It really should be titled, The Majesty, Splendor And Magnificence Of The Lord Expressing His Opinion, Judgement And View Through Intercession, Is The Doxa Of God. But that’s kinda bulky and wouldn’t have provided Him the opportunity to expose the word glory as the misleading term it is.

But don’t get me wrong, the Intercession of God to the hearts of humanity is majestic, it’s full of splendor and magnificence. I can conjure up that 14th century word and say there is glory in our creator seeking to imbue us with His word, His motivation power and strength through His intercession. In fact, there is a sense of majesty, splendor and magnificence of a loving God consistently reaching to us. So let’s assume that’s what was meant when I was led to title this piece, The Glory Of His Intercession, because His groanings too deep for words are beautiful beyond description.

But bringing it all back to that bulky and less poetic point. The Majesty, Splendor And Magnificence Of The Lord Expressing His Opinion, Judgement And View Through Intercession, Is The Doxa Of God. Yes, it’s the unified interceding voice of the Son and Spirit expressing the will of the Father and His kingdom that opens up our understanding; so that we may dwell with them in the unity of their opinion, judgement and view of everything.

Hear it again, it’s the unified interceding voice of the Son and Spirit expressing the will of the Father and His kingdom that opens up our understanding so that we may dwell with them in the unity of their opinion, judgement and view of everything.

Jesus said, “so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me”. John 14:31

Jesus laid aside the opinion, judgement and view of every other voice that didn’t echo the Father, so the souls of earth would understand the magnitude and paramount necessity of following with,  after and behind the voice and commands of the Father. Jesus demonstrated repentance exactly like it was laid out at creation in the Garden. He called it a treasure hidden in a field, because it isn’t obvious, it’s found in the silence of the secret place through a listening ear. Hearing His voice brings with it an invitation to sell everything we think we possess. The opinions judgements and views of others as well as our own myopic understandings or ramblings about whatever, so that the treasure can be purchased.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Matt 13:44

…for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt 6:21

Based on the daily cacophony of words spewed, the din of opinions, judgements and views of the mundane and banal earthbound desires, dealings and understandings; it’s completely obvious that few are actively listening for and seeking to follow or echo, the voice of the living God. Many careless words are being uttered right now without a thought for their eternal consequence. Matt12:36-37 I believe it’s for this very reason Jesus advised;

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.  Matt 7:13-14

In the power of His voice, through the word of His intercession, I have moved. Moved far away from the form and familiarity of so many old things. Forgetting what is left behind, life is now about Him who draws me in, bidding my spirit come reside with Him. In this new home for my heart, the secret and hidden treasure in the voice of my God gives me perfect peace, rest and healing to my soul. From this new address, I pan the horizon of this dark age listening for the unity of what He is saying and doing right now. I stand as a watchman in search of souls who express a childlike hunger, an expectation and anticipation of His voice. While I take in the stark beauty of the surrounding wilderness.

I am satiated in the Glory Of His Intercession. The majesty, splendor and magnificence of a God who speaks His words and breathes His life in me without regard for my current state. His doxa, His opinion, judgement and view of this existence is all that matters and the only thing that will stand in the end. What are those careless words uttered? What will be reconciled back to Him? Col 1:20

We are to be listening for the opinion, judgement and view of the Father brought to us in Christ by the Spirit through their unified intercession. The Bible urges this and knowledge about God is highly regarded, yet insufficient and imperfect for His desire for us to have an ear to hear, pondering, considering and heeding what He is saying, right now. In a moment of brutal honesty, I watch the passers by, satisfied in what they think they know, overlooking this unadorned dwelling. I wonder who even considers this simple, humble abode of God and His many mansions filled with the treasure of His voice, craving our echoed response.

I believe this new town is described and fully documented in scripture as life and salvation. Yet, due to the distraction and interference of serpents or men content to know in the mind without allowing the Spirit to inquire of their heart, road signs are missed and the treasure in this new town isn’t seen. I’m certain of this, because He inquired of me and showed me what was hidden in the field of my soul.

By properly replacing the word glory with opinion, judgment and view, He has opened up and solidified a whole new world of understanding to my soul. The power and authority of Matt. 4:4 ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God’, falls perfectly in line with listening for the opinion, judgment and view of God expressed through His intercession being my life.

I have given them the [doxa] opinion, judgment or view that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one —JOHN 17:22

The replacement of the one word glory with the three words opinion, judgement and view has matched perfectly with what was exposed to me through The Journey and why I was led to proclaim, I live off of His intercession in repentance, every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I have gladly taken up residence in this new town and the habitation He’s drawn me to. And have painstakingly sought to describe everything I’ve come to understand about it along the way. But the journaled words, though they may be understood in the mind, are in need of revelation just like everything else of God. The ZIP code of this town is unrecognizable to the mind of man because man dwells on himself, for himself and his traditions. He does not seek for the opinion judgement and view of God first and will never understand if he will not stop to incline his ear to the Spirit of TRUTH who speaks first according to the will of God.

Why did He give me this yoke? Why am I compelled to speak these things driven like a team of horses barreling down the road? Because it is the TRUTH. His intercession discharged like a javelin from the mouth of God unsought to the hearts of humanity, is the opinion, judgement and view of God. His doxa. He speaks with the expressed aim to become master over the hearer, for the enlightenment of the spirit and soul of humanity and entrance into His unity. These words spoken are to be met in repentance with an ear to hear and a heart to ponder, consider and heed what is said.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. John 10:27-28

I am convinced this is the TRUTH, our saving grace is being spoken to us right now through the voice of the interceding shepherd and the Spirit, saved or not. Without it our salvation would never come. They uphold all things through those words that come in by and with us and they desire we echo them. The majesty and splendor in the word of our God is very near, in our mouths and in our hearts, that we may observe it. Deut. 30:14 The kingdom of heaven is within us speaking right now.

Before we could think or ask according to the power at work inside us He has already spoken. Those who have an ear to hear, let them hear the “doxa” opinion, judgement and view of God, for we were all created to be satiated in the Glory Of His Intercession.

  1. Incredible insight here!
Our knowledge of God, like everything else typically centered on us (OUR judgement, opinions, and views) is a mere partial, a shadow that passed away when the Perfect (the Light) came.
Thank you for your thoughtful exposition on “doxa.” Insights like this are a gifted window into God’s Kingdom and the way He and His Kingdom (His domain) operate in our lives.
“Glory” as a word has many ties to idolatry and self worship; I would trade it for insight from God any day. To have His “opinion, judgement, and view” is to return to our glorious walk with Him in the garden.
Bravo! Well spoken and thoughtfully shared!
Insights like yours always make my heart leap…because I know from whence they came.

    1. Dan,

Thank you for such an encouraging word! Just yesterday on the way to my morning men’s group I asked the Father to amplify what I have been given to share, to make it clear to His people.

When I got home you had replied with clarity! May we share the joy of listening for the Doxa of God!!

…and how did you arrive here?

  2. One of your comments on a social media platform provided a link.
God’s light always shines through the shadows!

  3. Wow, taking this one slow as it is pregnant with God.
Just got the the huge PS Matthew 6:9-10.
    In TPT translation:
Pray like this: “Our Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn. Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fullfilled in heaven.”
